Scottish Huntington’s Association is the only charity in Scotland working with people affected by HD. Founded by family members in 1989, the charity has grown into a network of specialist services across Scotland, providing care and support for individuals and families affected by the disease. It is estimated that there are around 850 people in Scotland living with HD, with a further 4000 – 6,000 family members at risk of inheriting the condition.
